How do I submit news?
Georgia Business Associations (with an active directory listing) and Companies with Featured Listings in BIZGeorgia may submit news releases for review and possible publication. Press Releases are evaluated for publication based upon their news value.  Read BIZ Georgia guidelines.

Please allow 48 hours for review and posting. 

Information marked with required (R) or an asterisk (*) must be provided for your submission to be accepted by our automated system.

  • Compose and spell check your release off-line, then cut and paste into the editor. 
  • Do not add formatting with your word processor - use the formatting tools in our online editor. 
  • Mouse-over the HTML Editor icons for a brief explanation.
  • We reserve the right to limit the use of photography at our discretion.  

Submit your news release:

  1. Login with your username and password. 
  2. Select "Submit News for Review" in the User Menu (this menu is only visible when you are logged in).
  3. Complete the news submission form.
  4. Save your submissionSave and Submit by clicking the diskette icon at the top of the form.
  5. Cancel your submissionIf you attempt to leave the page without saving or canceling your submission you will get an error message.  Click the diskette to save your submission or click the red X to cancel your submission.
  • Category:* Select the appropriate category from the drop-down box
  • Full Name:*  (filled in from your account details)
  • Email:*  (filled in from your account details)
  • Title:*  Enter the Press Release title
  • Intro text image:  Upload an image to be used in the intro text for your release.  Image will be resized to meet our requirements.  Graphic should not exceed 100,000K in size.
  • Main text image:   Upload an image to be used in the main body of your release.
  • Intro Text:*  You must add text to this section.  Limit intro text to 50 words or less.
  • Main Text:  Paste the remaining new release into this section.  Your one live link to your website may be added to this section.  To create your link, highlight the text that will be linked.  Select the icon from the 2nd row, 7th icon from the left (looks like a chain link).  Type the full Link URL, e.g., http://www.yourdomain.com into the Link URL box.
  • SaveSave your work.  Click the diskette icon at the top of the form to save your news release. 

ImageIf you attempt to leave the page without saving your work you will get an error message that you must Save your work (click the diskette) or cancel your submission before leaving.  To cancel, click the red X to the right of the Diskette icon. 

Please allow 48 hours for review and posting.  News submitted by Thursday of each week may be included in our weekly newsletter.
