SBA Joins HOBY for Second Annual Youth Entrepreneurship Forum
WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Small Business Administration and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) have teamed for a second year to provide an International Business and Entrepreneurship program at HOBY's 2007 World Leadership Congress (WLC).

The second annual youth entrepreneurship forum was presented to 425 high school students who were brought together for an intense nine-day conference that includes leadership, international governance, career development, community service, innovative technology, and business and entrepreneurship as key areas of focus.  The WLC youth participants represent each of the 50 U.S. states, and 20 countries.

"The SBA is pleased to partner for a second year with Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership to help expand the possibilities of entrepreneurship and to build leadership skills that will help to elevate our next generation of world leaders," said Anoop Prakash, associate administrator for the SBA's Entrepreneurial Development arm.

HOBY began in 1958 under the leadership of TV actor and humanitarian Hugh O'Brian with the purpose of providing leadership development opportunities to educate and empower tomorrow's young leaders.  This year's WLC began on July 19, 2007, and continued through July 27, 2007.

July 22 was dedicated to the International Business and Entrepreneurship forum, highlighting the cutting-edge business tool used by corporate America -- mind mapping -- to help tap into the entrepreneurship skills of the youth participants.  The one-day session also focused on exploring key issues and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship worldwide.  It included keynote speakers and an interactive panel discussion.

The International Business and Entrepreneurship forum was held at the George Washington University Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
