SBA Patriot Express Loan Initiative Expands in Georgia with Strong Support from Lenders

ATLANTA—The U.S. Small Business Administration Georgia District Office reports that 21 SBA guaranteed loans, totaling $1.3 million, have been issued to small businesses to date in Georgia under the Patriot Express Loan Initiative that promotes veteran-owned enterprises.  Participating Banks have made 21 of the Veterans Loans in State.

SBA Loan Approvals Hit New Record Levels in Georgia For a Total of $755 Million during FY 2007

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration posted higher numbers and dollars for its loan programs in Georgia during FY 2007 as the agency expanded access to capital to over 3,000 small business start ups and existing companies throughout the state. Nationally, the SBA set records for both the combined number and dollar volume of its guaranteed loans, and increased lending to small businesses in underserved areas by more than 5.5 percent.

SBA to Provide Small Business Assistance to America's Certified Public Accountants

Washington -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced it will partner with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to train owners of small accounting firms on SBA products and services. SBA and AICPA have signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum to share resources to help start, maintain and expand small businesses.
